Part of a Community

I was doing some listening prayer this week and the persecuted church was heavy on my heart. To the persecuted church: Know that you are never alone. "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep" (Romans 11:15, ESV).
While this is for the persecuted church, I know that we can all struggle sometimes and we all have times of great celebration. I was reminded this week of the beautiful ways that Christians can be a part of a community. My group prayed for each other and others we knew wanted prayer. I also had the opportunity to reach out to someone in my group in an area where I needed wisdom and I was provided with scriptural truths I really needed to hear. This is often the way God works...through Christian people who remain in relationship with Christ and His word.
We can be lifted up when we are down, reminded of great truths and celebrate with each other as well. We are meant to interact with other believers in deep ways and to be vulnerable with those we've formed Godly relationships with. Let's pray that God will help us as we reach out to other brothers and sisters in Christ. Let's pray that as we form relationships we can allow them to reflect how Jesus did relationships during his time on Earth.
